Math Connections in the Digital Age: Business Mathematics (ABM) maintains a simplistic approach to its lesson presentation that promotes self-directed learning among students. It provides an understanding and promotes an appreciation of the basic concepts of mathematics as applied in business contexts. It includes a review of the fundamental mathematics operations using decimals, fractions, percent, ratio, and proportion; mathematics concepts and skills in buying and selling, computing gross and net earnings, overtime and business data presentation, analysis and interpretation.

Social Sciences in a Globalizing World: Interdisciplinary Perspectives for Filipino Students employs the different perspectives of the social sciences and discusses basic concepts, subjects, and methods of inquiry in order for us to go beyond our individual circumstances and seek other forms of knowing to arrive at a more scientific view of the complex and patterned operations of society and culture. In the course of the study the students shall develop awareness of cultural, social, and political dynamics; sensitivity to cultural diversity; social inclusiveness; prejudices and exclusions; as well as the required social and cultural competence to guide interactions with groups, communities, networks, and institutions in the realization of national development goals. Magbubukas ang libro sa pamamagitan ng pagtitiyak sa magaaral na kaya niyang mamilosopiya. Nilalayon din ng libro na maipakita sa mag-aaral na ang pilosopiya ay hindi isang malalim na araling walang kinalaman sa pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay.
